Various Artists - Synthphony REMIXed! Vol. 8
Synthphony Records continues its legendary series "Synthphony REMIXed!" with Volume 8 by Arsine Tibé, a.k.a. Manfred Thomaser. The member of Germany's electro-pop-band !distain remixed twelve tracks, among them indie-classics by In The Nursery, Das Ich, Catastrophe Ballet, Girls Under Glass and Sara Noxx. Up to this Tibé remixed "Chaotic Brain" a !distain song which has not been released up to now.

"Synthphony REMIXed! Vol. 8" is to be released as a double-cd. The second album contains Arsine Tibé's instrumental-album "Lounge Noire". This cd is a bonus-disc. "Lounge Noire" was created between 1996 und 2002 and includes the original version of "Ghost" (later on produced by Olaf Wollschläger for !distain's longplayer "25 frames a second").

Always On Our Minds - A tribute to the Pet Shop Boys
Synthphony Records is proud to present this unique collection of artists paying tribute to arguably one of the most successful and prolific pop duos in the  history of recorded music: Pet Shop Boys. Celebrating 25 years as a band and with a slew of projects continuing to infiltrate all forms of media, we felt it was high time to invite members of the modern electronic scene to pay homage to this critically acclaimed act. The response to our call was overwhelming, proving that Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe are just as validated in influence as fellow British synth pop pioneers Depeche Mode, OMD and Erasure.

Synthphony REMIXed : !distain
One of electronic music’s most treasured bands, Germany’s !distain presents this unique, limited-edition compilation consisting of equal parts ‘greatest hits’ material and traditional remix album. The project was born from the band’s idea to re-record vocals of popular songs over their decade long career. Current members, Alexander Braun and Manfred Thomaser spent intermittent studio time between working on songs from their upcoming album and the best-of record. The question soon became, however, that with fresh vocal recordings accompanying these older tracks, the music itself might require a makeover as well. Soon, word on the internet spread like wildfire about the project and several bands, DJ’s and solo artists accepted invitations to fashion favorite !distain songs into new, exciting interpretations. The result, over a year in the making, is now here for you to enjoy.

Synthphony REMIXed! Vol. 7
Over the past year, we’ve brought you six volumes filled with dozens of cutting-edge electronic acts remixed by a singular musician with their own unique interpretation of the songs provided. This, our latest installment, continues this tradition but we allowed an array of hand-picked maestros from around the globe to offer their vision. The variety of talent on this volume is also noticeably varied as the conceptual plan was to include artists not pigeonholed into any one music genre or niche. What ultimately transpired were positive responses from our invitations by the underground stars of the industrial, gothic and electro worlds. Bands like The Eternal Afflict, Mortiis and Cat Rapes Dog are legendary in certain circles as the torchbearers for alternative’s darker underbelly. And along the same linear line as modern, aggressive punk rock is the boot-stomping synthetik mayhem that acts like Das Ich, dAVOS, Massiv in Mensch and Urceus Exit exude stylistically. In order to lighten things up a bit, we appealed to familiar favorites like Virtual Server (featuring Germany’s Rename) alongside the bouncy sounds of Swedish newcomers Thermostatic. To round things out, there’s a few unclassifiable, but still no less intriguing, artists like Orphee, Sara Noxx and Urceus Exit which run the full gamut from ethereal beats to trance-infused electronica. Limited to 300 copies only!

Synthphony REMIXed! Vol. 6
My, how time flies. It seems like almost yesterday that Synthphony Records released, "Synthphony 2001: Russian Strike" featuring the techno-laden skills and mad beats of Russian based producer, musician and remixer, DJ RAM. His intoxicating effect upon the electronic-pop scene's heaviest hitters such as Nocomment, Red Flag, Echoing Green and Sara Noxx seduced a legion of new fans and turned quite a few heads both in the U.S. and internationally. We proudly present Volume 6 of the Synthphony REMIXed! series. This time we suggested that a variety of established and newcomers be approached for the DJ RAM treatment. As usual, he had no problems securing a host of familiar (Psyche, Freezepop, !distain, Blue October, Neuropa etc.) names and several rising stars (Bobby, The Promise, P24 and Hungry Lucy) smattered with a healthy dose of side projects and edgier acts.

SYNTHPHONY REMIXed! Vol. 2
Rio De Janeiro, Brazil is known for many things: Beautiful sun-tanned beaches, exotically enticing women, scrumptious cuisines and now, Freddy Hajas. Born in 1975, Freddy became entranced by music at a young age, playing imaginary drums and guitar (much to the chagrin of his poor mother‘s furniture) and in his teens became infatuated with his now rabid obsession: synthpop music. Freddy began taking careful notes from his favorite electro-pop heroes such as Information Society, New Order, Red Flag, Cause & Effect and Duran Duran. Many of the artists found in this volume of Synthphony REMIXed will be familiar to those involved in the growing synthpop “scene.” Southern California’s own Color Theory has received the Hajas treatment to a cover of a Depeche Mode classic. Two of Germany’s best electronic bands, !Distain and New Concept. Virtual Server featuring Beborn Beton is Russia’s famous DJ Ram. The Dignity of Labour (TDOL) is a fresh American act which is sure to open many eyes with their originality and poignant lyricism. Veteran active electro acts such as Anything Box, Real Life and the classic duo of Will Loconto/Steve Paul (T-42) appear alongside eager newcomers like Canada’s Droom, Project David (Voice In Fashion), Opium and Tristraum. Limited to 900 copies only!
